Overview

Our current patterns of consumption and production use more natural resources than the planet can regenerate. SDG 12 promotes resource efficiency, sustainable lifestyles, reduced food loss and waste, safe management of chemicals and waste, and responsible business practices.

Key targets

•      Achieve sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources.

•      Halve per capita global food waste at retail and consumer levels and reduce food losses along supply chains.

•      Substantially reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse.

•      Encourage companies to adopt sustainable practices and report on sustainability.

The Center's contribution

The Center leads campus recycling and waste-reduction awareness, supports circular economy research, and promotes responsible purchasing and sustainable lifestyles among students and staff.

How you can get involved

•      Join our recycling and zero-waste campaign.

•      Reduce single-use plastics on campus.

•      Start a student reuse or repair initiative.
