RESEARCH HUBS

The Research Hubs are the academic engine of the Zakho Center for Sustainable Development Goals. They create an open, collaborative space where students, academic staff and external partners can develop research that responds to local, regional and global sustainability challenges. Our hubs encourage interdisciplinary work, so a project may bring together, for example, environmental science, economics, engineering, education, health and law.

Student Research Hub

The Student Research Hub gives undergraduate and postgraduate students the chance to take their first steps in research, supervised by experienced academics. Students can join existing projects, propose their own, and present their work at Center events.

What the hub offers

•      Mentoring and supervision from academic staff

•      Training in research methods, academic writing and data analysis

•      Support to develop graduation projects around the SDGs

•      Opportunities to present at the Annual SDG Student Research Conference

•      Support to publish in student journals and conferences
